"The Artfix L22U surface has that “just right” status with me. It’s smooth enough for me to wipe away passages when I need to, but has enough texture to hold the brushstrokes where I want them. And since it’s acrylic primed, I can use an acrylic or an oil-based ground if I choose to add some variety to the surface. I also appreciate the quality and durability of Raymar’s melamine backing.
