Michael Harding Perylene Violet - Michael Harding is the first oil paint makers to manufacture this shade of Perylene Violet in oil. This truly unique color is often found in watercolor ranges as opposed to oil. Perylene Violet is a smoky mauve violet with a
very unusual caricature. When combined with rich yellows such as Indian Yellow, the colors produce amazing browns and deep gingery shades. This is a subtle color that may not leap off the palette and dazzlein the way a quinacridone does but is marvelous addition!
Michael Harding's Perylene Violet has an atmospheric quality. Use in mixes to create flesh tones to create a beautiful fleshy base tone. Also, very useful when mixed with white to cool whites especially when painting fabrics. Perylene Violet also helps to keep chroma under control. Finally, enjoy using it by mixing with transparent colors.
